Welcome

We are a group of like–minded ride-on train enthusiasts that operate steam powered, battery powered, internal combustion powered, and even pedal powered trains on 7.5″ gauge track in Texas and surrounding states. The Southwestern Live Steamers, or SWLS, promotes the hobby and organizes meets during the year so that we can all enjoy this great hobby. We welcome new members and one can join the organization by clicking “How to Join” at the top of the SWLS home page. You don’t have to own the ride-on equipment to join and many of our members join just to attend the meets and enjoy the camaraderie of the group. The Timetable page on our website provides the schedule of upcoming events.
